Traveling abroad
Yes, I’ve been abroad today. To be fair though, we only went across the border to Sweden, to buy some beer and wine for the wedding (it’s cheaper there than here). It was an eventful journey. Tor was tired, and I was worried that he would fall asleep and drive us off the road. I always keep an eye on him when I know he’s driving tired, but today he was wearing sun glasses, which made it more tricky. This resulted in me nervously watching him and the road for 1.5 hours, all the while ready to take the wheel if I had to. You might of course ask why I didn’t just drive instead of him, but if you’ve ever heard about my driving skills, you have your answer right there. Him tired is still a better driver than me wide awake. Also, he kept reassuring me that he wasn’t tired. The home journey was much better, by then we’d all had something to eat and drink. Sweden (Storlien) was the same as always. Snowy and boring. So much for traveling abroad being a wonderfully exciting thing.
So there you have it, my very un-exciting Friday afternoon. I’m home now, watching Contact with Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey. It took him about 15 minutes to get his shirt off. We’re going to see his latest movie, Fool’s Gold, on Monday - I scored free tickets! From the trailer and review of the movie, I’d say he will have his shirt off for at least 80% of the entire movie. I’m not complaining.
