Sisters are doing it for themselves
Today I once again proved that if you just stand your ground long enough, others will cave and let you have your way.
A week and a half ago we got a letter from the people building our house, telling us to show up on May 22nd to take over the house and pay them KTHXNOPLZ. This, of course, would mean that we’d have to pay rent in two places for a bit more than a week, and if it’s something we can’t afford, it’s things like that. So I called them up and said NO. May 22nd is a NO GO. Give us another date, must be later than the 28th. It didn’t go down too well at the time - I was told that it would be hard to rearrange everything but FINE, they would see what they could do, geez lady, stop being so difficult. Time passed, no word. So I called again today and was told that nothing had been done about it. I repeated myself, told her that the 22nd would not work for us at all. She told me she’d talk to the project manager.
Result? She called me up half an hour later and told me that we could pick our own date. VICTORY FOR ZIM.
(If you know what I am referencing in that last sentence, please let me know. I love you.)
