Bluetooth woes

Last night, I tried sending an mp3 from my laptop to Tor’s laptop using Bluetooth. It’s worked fine before, but now, all of a sudden, no connection can be made. Connections cellphone -> laptop work, but not laptop -> cellphone or laptop -> laptop. I tried removing Tor’s computer from the list of Bluetooth devices so that I could try re-adding it (I thought it might be a problem with the access key), but now my laptop can’t even find his.

Any ideas? I’m completely green when it comes to Bluetooth. I even tried using Windows Help, but that only dealt with connection Bluetooth keyboards and the likes of that.
