Movie review: Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
My rating: 3.5 star rating | IMDB

A comedy about getting dumped, and taking it like a man

I have a soft spot for Jason Segel’s movies, I’ll admit that now and be done with it. He’s a dork, and I like dorks. Forgetting Sarah Marshall caught my eye because of his involvement, but also because of Kristen Bell, who I adore in all her petiteness.

However, it left me feeling a bit disappointed. It had its funny moments, but I rather thought it would have MORE funny moments. I needed some funny in my life, and this movie didn’t deliver to the degree that I had expected.

Russell Brand as Alduous Snow was great though, and made the movie worth watching. Also, Mila Kunis is always charming, and managed to not make me see her only as Jackie Burkhart. Good job, Mila!

All in all, it was worth the £4.99 I paid for it, and I will definitely watch it again, because it wasn’t a BAD movie. It just didn’t quite live up to my expectations, and will have to go through life knowing that. Sorry. It’s not you, it’s me. I think we should break up.
