Winter is about to hit. It has somewhat hit already - we had a bit of snow in late September, but thankfully it went away again. But it’s cold and blah outside, and this morning the roads were slippery. We’re more or less ready for winter (although not mentally, not ever) - we’ve changed the tires on both cars, the house is nice and warm, our winter coats are in the closet. We haven’t brought in our balcony furniture yet, but as we don’t have any outdoor cushions, they might weather it.

I won’t though. I hate winter. SO SO MUCH.

…GIFTS. I need to find gifts for people. I have one for my brother already, which means that I “only” have to find gifts for my mom (I love finding unique gifts for her, so much more fun than giving her a pair of socks or something), my dad, Tor, my other two brothers (the other brothers, hee) and Bre. And I need to send cards! Oh crap. So much to do and remember.

It’s almost Christmas, and you know what Christmas means? Well, first of all, of course, it’s family and friends, love, joy, presents and all that. But it’s also FOOD. And CANDY. And LOTS OF IT. Which means that I, as more or less everyone else, will gain weight. So before Christmas arrives, I really need to lose some weight, or at least lose belly fat.

I wish doing it was as easy as writing about it. Sigh.

The day before I went to NY, Tor and I decided to buy a new couch. While I packed he went to buy it, and he picked it up the day after. So we moved the old one down into the basement, and have now set up a second living room there. The problem? Only the couch is awesome about it - the TV down there is shit. Which is why we’re now looking at plasma tvs - we really need a flat screen TV that we can hang on the wall, to free up some floor space.

I can’t wait to see it all done! :D

I love New York. And you know what, I also love the United States. Say what you will, but I do. I’d love to perhaps move there for a while, and get a job (there is even an entire site devoted to south jersey jobs (which I thought for a while was south NEW Jersey, but no.)). I probably won’t though, because well, I love the job I have here, and…getting a green card? Not something I want to go through unless I have to.

So for my trip to New York I’ve had a pretty awesome budget when it came to shopping. However, as I have found out, I REALLY need to step it up when it comes to workouts, because NOTHING FITS ME. >:( I’ll definitely start looking into some new classes at the gym - the Kettlebell class looks interesting (I think they call it Girya?).
